Sampath Bank, as part of the corporate responsibility, endeavours to
promote knowledge based society and has offered encouragement to Sri
Lankan students in their education, sports activities , special talents
with sponsorships , donations workshops.
Towards achieving this objective in the field of education Sampath
Bank recently felicitated Amali Upeksha Jayasinghe student of Vishaka
Vidyalaya for having all island best result at the GCE Ordinary Level
examination in the year 2007.
As a further step to encourage and support the young achievers
Sampath Bank rewarded young Amali with a financial gift and an X-Set
Savings Account in her name. This is an account which is specially for
young student and Sri Lankan residence between the age of 13 to 25 years
which will enable certain benefit to the account holders to look towards
a better tomorrow.
The X- Set account will provide Amali with the necessary financial
assistance for higher studies when required apart from encouraging her
in the habit of savings. The initiative taken by the bank will be a good
example for other talented students to follow.
Sampath Bank as a matter of policy intends to promote knowledge base
society and will continue to offer their assistance to Sri Lankan
students who show talent, skill, commitment in the respective areas of
education, sports and other related streams. |
