NATO soldier killed in Afghan blast
AFGHANISTAN: A NATO soldier has been killed in a bomb blast in the
troubled southern Afghan province of Helmand, the military said Sunday.
The soldier, whose nationality has not been revealed, died when the
improvised bomb exploded in Lashkar Gah, capital of the restive
province, on Saturday, the force said.
"An ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) soldier died in an
explosion while on a security patrol with an Afghan National Army unit
..." the force said in a statement.
The latest death takes to 109 the number of international soldiers
killed in Afghanistan this year.
