NAAL donates utility vehicle

The Netherlands Alumni Association of Sri Lanka (NAAL) donated a
utility Vehicle to the Institute of Cardiology on Saturday in Colombo.
The donation was made by Drs. Evert Jongens, of “Stichting
Netherlands - Sri Lanka” through NAAL.
All the relevant documents pertaining to the vehicle was handed over
to Colombo National Hospital Director Dr. Hector Weerasinghe by NAAL
President S.P.C. Kumarasinghe.
Dr. Hector Weerasinghe who received the utility vehicle in the
premises of the Cardiology Unit in Colombo thanked Drs. Evert Jongens
and the members of the NAAL for their kind gesture.
The vehicle is very important to take the patients in a close vehicle
to and from the hospital premises, the Director added.
Institute of Cardiology Senior Consultant Dr. Ruwan Ekanayake,
Institute of Cardiology Deputy Director Dr. Rani Fernando, Senior and
Junior staff members of the Institute of Cardiology Unit also
participated at the ceremony.
NAAL President S.P.C. Kumarasinghe, NAAL Vice Presidents J.
Paranagama, S.G. Punchihewa, NAAL Secretary S.M.B. Niyangoda, NAAL
Assistant Secretary L. Tilina Kiringoda, NAAL Assistant Treasurer Tamara
Mallawaarachchi and NAAL Editor S. Hettiarachchi represented the NAAL at
the ceremony.
