Thurstan, Wesley in eight all draw

Thurstan College put up a splendid performance to force an exciting eight all draw against the more fancied Wesley College team in their Singer inter school under 20 Division One Group B league rugby tournament match worked off at Longden Place yesterday.

Both teams collected their points from one try and one penalty each after Thurstan College had taken an 8 nil lead at half time.

Prop forward Lahiru Weerasinghe did all the scoring for Thurstan College while scoring their solitary try and also put over a penalty. Number eight Dulanjana Wijesinghe scored the try for Wesley and fly half Dulaj Perera put over a penalty. C.D.
