Junior cricketers from Bangalore end tour

The JP School of Cricket from Bangalore, India is presently touring Sri Lanka with two teams Under 12 and 14. They are here on an invitation extended by the Roy Dias School of Cricket of Colombo. These two Indian teams are playing several matches against the Roy Dias School of cricket young cricketers at the Ananda Shastralaya Cricket Grounds in Kotte.

JP School of Cricket was founded in 1994 by A.V. Jaya Prakash has produced several Indian National Players such as Sri Shanth and Dodde Ganesh. Coaches B.S. Suresh and S. Sudhir are accompanying the cricketers on this tour.

The two teams are captained by Abilash and Ajay. Mohan Perera is the present coach of the Roy Dias School of Cricket which functions at the Colts Cricket Club.

The Roy Dias young Cricket Team will be touring India in August 2008 to play several matches in Bangalore & Mysore.

The Indian u - 12 took on the Roy Dias' in a 25 over cricket match at the Ananda Shastralaya Cricket Grounds in Kotte.

The Indian teams was led by Abilash and the Roy Dias team by Salinda Perera of Isipthana College. Rashmal Fernando of St. Peter's College wicket keeper for the locals while his opposite number was Radhakrishnan.
