Person arrested with counterfeit notes

A person was arrested with 21 counterfeit notes of Rs. 500 by Alawatugoda Police on Saturday.

Investigations have revealed that the suspect who is a resident of Akurana had been engaged in distributing counterfeit notes in Kandy and suburbs for a long time, Alawatugoda Police OIC, SP Ananda Samarakoon said.
