The top executive chefs of the Colombo hotels will pull out all stops
for Gravitas 2008 (the Hoteliers' Ball) on 31 May at the Grand Ballroom,
Water's Edge.

Executive Chef, Cinnamon Grand, Colombo, Chef Ralf Vogt, Director -
Kitchens, Mount Lavinia Group and Chef Haleesha Weerasinghe, Executive
Chef, Galle Face Hotel will join forces to create an astounding,
eye-catching and mouth-watering feast for the guests at the event.
Commenting on the occasion, Chef Ralf Vogt said, "This is a wonderful
opportunity for all the finest chefs in Colombo to work together in
co-operation to bring to the table the best of the best in trans-ethnic
cuisine."

The menu will include an international tapas bar, Nippon-Lankan show
cooking, Australian spit roast, an Arabian corner, mouth-watering
signature desserts and handmade chocolates. Chef Anthony Gibson and Chef
Srijith Dolage of Waters Edge said, "This is one occasion where the
saying 'too many cooks spoil the soup' is proven wrong. It will be a
culinary experience to remember - both for you and us."
Organised by the Ceylon Hotel School's Graduates Association (CHSGA),
Gravitas 2008 promises to be outstanding in that it will feature the
