Sri Lanka Tourism, realizing that technology touches lives and is key to sustainable growth, has taken a major step in contributing towards building the Image of Paradise Island Sri Lanka, with Xerox Corporation, the world's leading document management technology and services enterprise.

Commenting on the proposal, Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism, Renton de Alwis said, "This is a high tech-high touch initiative where Sri Lanka Tourism benefits from the high end resources offered by a leading global brand. This brand promotion is for the benefit of all stakeholders and we invite all to involve themselves in its implementations."

"Promoting Sri Lanka is not only confined to a few State institutions but should also be the responsibility of every citizen and corporate of the country. If achieved, the power of communication and the brand value will be enhanced considerably," said Dileep Mudadeniya, Managing Director, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.

The Chief Operating Officer of Lumen Technologies Ltd, a company within the Golden Key Group, Rukshan Sheriff, said, "Xerox is all to do with colour. We are delighted to be associated with Sri Lanka Tourism with this new initiative, as the sole authorized distributor and market development partner for Xerox. We consider this to be our contribution to add colour and bring colour to life".

Sri Lanka Tourism-Xerox partnership coincides with the arrival of Andrew Horne, Managing Director, Xerox India Limited who was the Guest of Honour for the Print 2008 Exhibition and Awards Night hosted by the Sri Lanka Association of Printers, held at the BMICH , last weekend. (ss)
