Xerox, Sri Lanka Tourism to Showcase 'Island of Colour'

Sri Lanka Tourism, realizing that technology touches lives and is key
to sustainable growth, has taken a major step in contributing towards
building the Image of Paradise Island Sri Lanka, with Xerox Corporation,
the world's leading document management technology and services
enterprise.
Sri Lanka Tourism's Xerox tie-up is mainly to showcase the
destination through the theme, "The Island of Colour". Commenting on the
proposal, Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourism, Renton de Alwis said, "This is a
high tech-high touch initiative where Sri Lanka Tourism benefits from
the high end resources offered by a leading global brand. This brand
promotion is for the benefit of all stakeholders and we invite all to
involve themselves in its implementations."
"Promoting Sri Lanka is not only confined to a few State institutions
but should also be the responsibility of every citizen and corporate of
the country. If achieved, the power of communication and the brand value
will be enhanced considerably," said Dileep Mudadeniya, Managing
Director, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
The Chief Operating Officer of Lumen Technologies Ltd, a company
within the Golden Key Group, Rukshan Sheriff, said, "Xerox is all to do
with colour. We are delighted to be associated with Sri Lanka Tourism
with this new initiative, as the sole authorized distributor and market
development partner for Xerox. We consider this to be our contribution
to add colour and bring colour to life".
Sri Lanka Tourism-Xerox partnership coincides with the arrival of
Andrew Horne, Managing Director, Xerox India Limited who was the Guest
of Honour for the Print 2008 Exhibition and Awards Night hosted by the
Sri Lanka Association of Printers, held at the BMICH , last weekend. (ss)
