Women's athletic meet on June 20 and 21

The 26th annual women's track and field athletic meet conducted by the Athletic Association of Sri Lanka will be worked off on June 20 and 21 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The entries for this meet has been extended until June 19. The events that will be worked off are for under 12, 14, 18 and 20 and the open races. The entries should be forwarded to the President Athletic Association of Sri Lanka 33, Torrington Avenue Colombo 7. Meanwhile the Athletic Association of Sri Lanka will celebrate the World Athletic Day with a junior meet on May 17 at the Torrington grounds commencing at 8.00 a.m.

The events that will be worked off are the boys and girls under 16 and 18. Director Sports B. D. Dahanayake will be the chief guest at this meet.

Meanwhile the Lanka Lions Sports Club tenth annual senior meet and the ninth annual junior meet will be worked off on May 24 and 25 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo. (C.D)
