Enjoy 5 per cent saving on electricity bills with American Express
American Express, the credit card acquired and issued in Sri Lanka
solely by Nations Trust Bank announced the launch of a new benefit which
will offer all American Express Cardmembers a 5 per cent saving on their
monthly electricity bill.
This is available for all Cardmembers who register three or more bill
payments on the Automatic Bill Settlement Programme, thereby benefiting
from a 5 per cent reduction from their first months electricity charges.
American Express will offer this saving on all electricity bills
registered before end of June.
Currently American Express is the only credit card facilitated for
bill payments at both Ceylon Electricity Board and LECO and is also the
only card accepted at the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.
This gives American Express Cardmembers a unique convenience in terms
of settling their utility bills.
DGM Consumer Banking at Nations Trust Bank Renuka Fernando commenting
on the benefit said, "We believe in offering value additions that are
unique, specific and meet with the needs of today and we are confident
that this facility will be of great value to our Cardmembers."
Automatic Bill Settlement is a convenient and hassle free solution to
arrange the monthly payment of bills and subscriptions, which will be
facilitated and paid through the American Express Credit Card.
This ensures that monthly payments are made on time thereby
effectively avoiding the hassle of filling in forms, standing in queues
and taking time off to attend to these payments every month.
Automatic Bill Settlement is available for a host of solutions such
as utility bill payments from Ceylon Electricity Board and Lanka
Electric Company, Water Supply and Drainage Board, telephone bill
payments from Dialog, Mobitel and SLT and Lanka Bell, Suntel, TIGO,
Cable TV payments from Dialog TV and LBN, Insurance payments from
Ceylinco, Asian Alliance, Sri Lanka Insurance, Union Assuarance and
Janashakthi, Internet connection payments from Eureka as well as
subscriptions to clubs such as the Royal Colombo Golf Club and the
Colombo Swimming Club.
