APB Lanka receives ISO nod for Quality Management
Asia Pacific Brewery Lanka Limited (APB Lanka) was recognised as a
quality brewer with world class standards when it was accredited the ISO
9001:2000 certification by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Netherlands for
quality management in brewing, packaging and marketing of beer and stout
on March 24. DNV is the world's leading certification body for
accreditation in Quality Management System of ISO 9001: 2000.
Having assessed APB Lanka's process performance and effectiveness in
the gamut of manufacturing and marketing operations including quality of
equipment, raw materials, facilities and execution of services, DNV
confirmed APB Lanka's effective management of quality and commitment to
customers with the ISO accreditation.
On APB Lanka's accreditation, Regional Director, South Asia and
Director, Business Development, Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd, Vivek
Chhabra said, 'The ISO recognition is a mark of distinction and we are
extremely proud to be given the honour of this accreditation.
Having served the Sri Lankan market for over 2 1/2 years now, APB
