Deshapremi scholarships

Applications are invited from children of low income families in the Galle District for Deshapremi Scholarships for 2009 awarded by the Ambalangoda Deshapremi Sanvidhanaya.

These scholarships are awarded to children on the basis of the results of the G.C.E. O/L of 2007, Sanvidhanaya President Buddhika Kurukularatne said.

A child must have at least a ‘B’ pass in both mathematics and science and should possess an aggregate of 20 marks from eight subjects calculated as follows: ‘A’ pass - three marks, ‘B’ pass - two marks and a ‘C’ pass one mark to qualify.

To obtain an official application form, hand written applications giving full bio-data and the results of the 2007 O/L examination results enclosing a stamped envelope should be sent by ordinary post by May 31 to Buddhika Kurukularatne, President, Ambalangoda Deshapremi Sanvidhanaya, Ambalangoda.
