COLOMBO: Contrary to being a set back, the abortive attempt by the LTTE to break through the Forward Defence Line of the Army at Muhamalai enabled the Army to advance about 500 metres into the LTTE-held areas capturing the heavily guarded first FDL of the LTTE in the retaliatory strikes, Defence Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said yesterday.
