Inter-Cultural Sports Festival

Over 80 children from Puttalam, Kamburupitiya and Nattandiya will take part in the Inter-Cultural Sports Festival which will be worked off at the sports school, Nattandiya from April 25 to 27, 2008.

Boys and girls between the ages of eight to 16 years belonging to all three communities Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims will take part in cricket, swimming, football, games of skill and traditional new year games in this three day festival.

The festival has been organised by the AGSEP with the intention of bringing about friendship and understanding between the children of the three communities by taking part in sports.

Accommodation and meals for the children from Puttalam and Kamburupitiya and their teachers too will be provided by the sports school.
