Amarasinghe, beloved husband of Chandanie, loving father of Prasanna (Sri Lankan Airlines Flight Operation), Gayanie, father-in-law of Samantha De Mel (Sri Lankan Airlines Engineering), brother of Nanda, Ernest, Ananda and Sujatha, late Newton, Henry and Indratissa, loving grand father of Shawin, expired. Cremationa will be at Nawala Cemetery on 21st April 2008. Cortege leaves residence at 4.00 p.m. No.17, Galpotte Road, Nawala, Rajagiriya.

COREA - PROFESSOR JAMES RANDUNNA passed away peacefully in Saudi Arabia on 15th April 2008. Funeral arrangements will be notified later.

Dr. THARMAPALAN - VETTIVETPILLAI Beloved son of late Velupillai Vettivetpillai (Postmaster) and Theivanaipillai Vellupillai of Thunnalai North Karaveddy, nephew of late Arumugam, Thangammah, late Sinnamma, late Thambipillai, late Sithamparapillai, late Sabaratnam, passed away in New Zealand. Funeral took place on 19th April 2008 in Auckland, New Zealand.

FERNANDO - MARK ANTHONY - Formerly of Radio Ceylon. Dearly beloved husband of Antoinette, loving father of Kanthi Goonesekara, Nedra Pereira, Mohan, Tamara Perera (Australia), Trishan (USA) & Tanya Muller, passed away on 17th April 2008. Remains will lie at A.F. Raymond’s Funeral Parlour on 21st & 22nd April. Cremation on Tuesday 22nd April at 5.00 p.m. at General Cemetery Kanatta.

NISSANKA nee SETUNGA - GRACE MATILDA Beloved wife of late Henry Nissanka, much loved mother of Sunethra (44, Buick St, Petone 5012, NZ) and Daya (19, McGowan Rd, Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt 5014, NZ), mother-in-law of Dr Rex Perera and Charmaine, loving grandmother of Roshan, Travis and Mihiri, sister of late Rev. Peter, Julian, Margaret Peiris, Martha Gunasekera, Manuel, Edna Gunawardana, Phillip, Edwin, James, Beatrice Gunaratna and Martin, passed away peacefully on 6th April 2008 in New Zealand. Funeral service was on 9th April at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, followed by interment at Taita Cemetery.
