HSBC recognises its credit card third party business partners
Hobo's second successive Third Party Sales Associates Convention was
held at Tangerine Beach Hotel on March 8 and 9. The Bank hosted 65 top
performing sales associates at this convention.
This event was graced by chief guest, Simon J. Williams, Head of
Personal Financial Services, HSBC Sri Lanka and Nilantha Bastian, Head
of Cards and Consumer Assets for HSBC.
Sampath Sri Jayalath of Captain Promotion was recognised as the best
sales person at the awards evening while Suresh Jayaweera of Captain
Promotion was awarded the Best Sales Managers' award for the year 2007.
Naradha Herath, Managing Director of Captain Promotion, received the
trophy for the Best Third Party Sales Associate for the year 2007.
Speaking at the ceremony, Simon J. Williams congratulated all Third
Party Sales Associates and award winners for a magnificent effort made
in a very challenging environment in year 2007.
HNB will give away a Toyota Avanza this Avurudu
Savers can look forward to win a fabulous Toyota Avanza car this
Avurudu when they save with HNB Pathum Vimana.
As a special feature of the Pathum Vimana 2008 scheme the first
Toyota Avanza car draw will be held for the month of April. To qualify
for this draw all you have to do is maintain a minimum balance of Rs
10,000 in a savings account or Singithi savings account or current
account for a period of one calendar month prior to the draw.
To qualify for the premium draw a minimum balance of Rs 100,000 has
to be maintained in a savings or a Singithi savings account or a minimum
balance of Rs 50,000 has to be maintained in a current account for one
calendar month immediately prior to the draw.
HNB Pathum Vimana is the largest deposit draw introduced by a private
commercial bank operating in Sri Lanka. With prizes worth more than 100
million rupees offered throughout the year.
This year from Pathum Vimana 2008 HNB has decided to give away more
than 12,000 prizes. Through Pathum Vimana 2008 customers can win a
luxury apartment in the heart of Colombo from the year end premium draw
and an Audi A 4 car from the mid year premium draw.
The year end grand draw will offer a luxury Mitsubishi Montero jeep
and in addition to the Toyota Avanza draw in April there will be draws
held in June and September to give away Toyota Avanza Cars.
This year customers will also have the opportunity to participate in
the HNB Pathum Vimana 2008 game show and win cash prizes ranging from Rs
5,000 to Rs 100,000 weekly.
The TV game show is telecast on Rupavahini every Friday at 7.30 p.m.
All qualifying account holders will be entitled to multiple chances at
the draws.
The number of chances depend on the amount in the account (one extra
chance for every multiple of the minimum deposit) and the period (one
extra chance for every month) during which the amount is maintained in
the account.
People's Bank branches open for Avurudu Ganu Denu
People's Bank, the pioneer in the traditional Sinhala and Tamil New
Year 'Ganu Denu' transactions in the local banking industry, since 1973,
has made elaborate arrangements to continue this cherished tradition
during this year as well, with gifts and savings certificates.
The entire branch network of the bank, which comprises 631 branches
and service centers, will be open on April 14, New Year's day, from 7.00
a.m. onwards to facilitate the public in making traditional transactions
with the Bank.

Bank for their traditional New Year transactions with a ten rupee coin
placed on a betel leaf, symbolizing the tradition of giving and
receiving.
Customers who make a deposit to the value of Rs.20,000/= on this day
will receive a valuable wall clock together with a savings certificate,
while those who make a deposit of Rs.15,000/= will receive a People's
Bank branded umbrella with UV protection and a savings certificate.

held at branch level on April 14 as well.
