CIMA - Janashakthi Pinnacle Awards 2007
The CIMA Janashakthi Pinnacle awards was held at the Cinnamon Grand
last Wednesday.

Nobel Peace Prize Co-Winner Prof. Mohan Munasinghe was the chief
guest Chairman of Janashakthi Insurance Company W.T. Ellawala which has
partnered CIMA with this awards scheme since its inception said the CIMA
Janashakthi Pinnacle Awards were created five years ago to recognise and
facilitate the accomplishment of business leadership and financial
professionalism, to recognise talent, skills, to focus on ambition and
the determination to achieve.
"Our continuing association with the Pinnacle Awards demonstrates our
commitment to encourage these attributes in local business." he said.
Chief Executive Officer at Cargills (Ceylon) Ltd Ranjith Page
clinched the 'Business Leader of the Year' (Large Scale Organisation)
Gold Award. Chief Financial Officer at Lanka Transformers Group of
Companies Ravindra Pitigalage was the CFO of the Year (large scale
organisation). The Gold Award for the Young CIMA Star of the Year was
awarded to General Manager at Textprint Lanka Asanka Wimalaratne.
Management Accountant at Hemas Manufacturing Dayan Gunasekera, took
home the Silver Award in this category while Asset and Liability
Management Officer at Sampath Bank Himashi De Silva, won the Bronze
Award in this category. Three Merit Awards went to Kasuni Silva, Fadhil
Jiffrey and Malika Perera.
The Gold Award for the CIMA Business Manager of the Year was awarded
to CEO at HNB Securities Ltd G Ramanan.
The Gold Award for the Management Team of the Year was awarded to
Lanka Bell (Pvt) Ltd while the Merit Award went to Amba Research Lanka (Pvt).
