Thajudeen - only newcomer in Sri Lanka sevens team

Havelocks centre Wasim Thajudeen is the only newcomer in the Sri
lanka rugby sevens team which will take part in the Hong Kong
International Rugby sevens from March 28 to 30, 2008.
Thajudeen has been picked after his fine performance for his club in
the Dialog Professional Rugby Sevens.
The skipper of the champion rugby sevens team of Kandy Sports Club
Pradeep Liyanage has been entrusted with the leadership of the Sri Lanka
team.
Sri Lanka has been drawn into group ‘B’ and will confront defending
champions Samoa on March 28 and on the following day will take on the
2006 champions England and Canada.
The Lankan sevens team has been training hard for the last two weeks
and had their final practice session at Longden Place yesterday under
the watchful eyes of national coach Rawiri Maku from New Zealand.

Jayasinghe, Saliya Kumara, Radhika Hettiarachchi (all from Kandy SC),
