Schols for outstanding health workers

Health workers who achieved first place in each category at the
National Health Excellence Awards 2007 will receive scholarships for
higher education in Japan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, a
Health Ministry spokesman said.
The Yatiyantota MOH Office bagged the Best Disease Prevention Award
while the Best Management Award was awarded to the Kegalle Provincial
MOH Office.
Colombo National Hospital Director Dr. Hector Weerasinghe was the
Best Hospital Administrator while the Best Specialist Doctor was Dr.
A.J.L. Fernando of the Chilaw Base Hospital. W.P.G. Wickremasinghe of
the Galgamuwa MOH Office won the award for the Best Nurse.
The Mahawa District Hospital, Tissamaharama Base Hospital and Colombo
National Hospital also won awards.
W.A.H.D. Ratnayake of Mahiyanganaya Base Hospital was the Best Minor
Worker while R.H.M.K.M. Rohini of the Tissamaharama MOH Office was the
Best Family Health Worker.
H. Shriyani of the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital and PHI of the
Suriyawewa MOH Office N. Senaratne also won awards. |
