Hayleys accredited as CIMA Training Partner

Sri Lankan multinational Hayleys PLC has been awarded Training Partner status by the Sri Lanka Division of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in recognition of the quality of the training support provided to CIMA students employed by the Group.

Worldwide, CIMA has accredited over 1,500 business organizations including Microsoft, Ernst & Young, HSBC Bank and Unilever.

The CIMA Training Scheme aims to raise the standard of training support provided to CIMA students and recognises organisations which provide training in accordance with CIMA's Quality Standards for Chartered Management Accountants.

"The CIMA Training Partner accreditation affirms that CIMA students employed within companies of the Hayleys group can gain on-the-job work experience at the consistently high standard required by CIMA", said Head of Group Human Resources at Hayleys Sunil Dissanayake.

The Training Partner certificate was presented by Aruna Fernando, President of the CIMA Sri Lanka Division to Ravi Rajasinghe - Group Human Resources Development Manager of Hayleys.

Rated a Business-to-Business (B2B) Superbrand among Sri Lanka's diversified conglomerates, the Hayleys Group is strongly focussed on domestic value addition in industry, agriculture and transportation. Today, the Group which employs more than 35,000 people, accounts for 2.7 per cent of Sri Lanka's export income and 2.2 per cent of the country's GDP.
