Asia Pacific HR Leadership Award goes to Rohan
Rohan Pandithakorralage, Director HR of Aitken Spence Group and the
Immediate Past President of the Association of Human Resource
Professionals in Sri Lanka (HRP) was awarded the prestigious HR
Leadership Award at the Asia Pacific HRM Congress (APHRM) held at Mumbai
this week.
Under the theme "Emerging Perspective in Human Resources Management"
APHRM brought together 900 professionals representing 60 countries
across the region. Held recently at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, it was
chaired by President, The Times of India and CEO, The Economic Times
Arun Arora.
The congress recognized best practices and individuals in HR from the
Asia Pacific region with three award categories- Recruiting & Staffing
Best in Class Awards, Employer Branding Awards and Global HR Excellence
Awards. Pandithakorralage was awarded the HR Leadership Award under the
Global HR Excellence category for his contribution in HR towards the
economic development of the country.
Rohan is the Past President of the International Public Management
Association for Human Resources - Sri Lanka Chapter or better known as
IPMA-HR and a founder committee member of HRP.
Pandithakorralage is licensed to conduct the globally-recognized
Management Training Programme (MTP) of Nippon Keidanren International
Cooperation Centre (NICC) Japan. Having undergone this training in 1999,
he has conducted the 64-hour programme in Sri Lanka for over 2000
managers across various sectors and industries. |
