Bail for Sripathi

Polonnaruwa High Court Judge Manilal Waidyathilaka yesterday granted bail to Parliamentarian Sripathi Sooriyaarachchi who was indicted on six charges including murder.

Sooriyaarachchi was released on Rs. 30,000 personal bail with two personal sureties each Rs. 100,000 after indictments were served by the High Court judge.

Welikada Police OIC Nevile Silva led the prosecution. Nalin Ladduwahetti and Nilanthi Peiris appeared for the accused. The case will resume on June 12.
