He said a large number of people working abroad have purchased the new houses.

It is a very good investment for the country. The price range for three bed room houses remains between Rs 19 million to 27 million,’ he said.

The Chairman Condominium Management Authority Abdul Kulam handed over the approved condominium plan to Jayawardena at the CMA in Colombo yesterday.

The Chairman appreciated the work of Ceylinco Condominium Ltd and said all queries of CMA were clearly answered by the company and rectified before approval was given.

He said that clients should be educated about the condominium culture and service providers for the project as dwellers lack knowledge on that.

The CMA has issued 200 certificates for condominium projects in and around Colombo during the last two years. The project situated on a three and a half acre land is a novel design under the auspices of the Institute of Architects award winning company Design Consortium.

The significant feature of this project is that it gives 50 per cent space of the land for the houses and is not a wall to wall design. according to Jayawardena.
