Hanuman act goes wrong

A man who tried to perform a Hanuman act by setting fire to the
Hanuman's tail of his attire at a kovil died of burn injuries.
The incident was reported from the Nawalapitiya Hospital where
Kanapathi Rajah, 27, died following treatment for two days. The incident
had taken place at the Kovil on Thaipongal Day as Rajah was performing
Hanuman's episode in Ramayanaya by setting Hanuman's tail aflame to burn
Lanka in support of the Rama's quest to defeat Lankan king Rawana.
Rajah a resident of Greenwood Garden, Nawalapitiya, went in flames as
the fire swept fast along the tail of his Hanuman attire and spread over
his body. Rajah was rushed to Nawalapitiya hospital where he died after
two days. |
