APRC proposals need of the hour - Rajitha

The All Party Representatives Committee proposals which are to be unveiled tomorrow had got the backing of all parties which had attended the deliberations, Construction Minister Rajitha Senaratne said yesterday. "Enforcing the package will not run into difficulties as some parties suggest. It is the duty of all who value democracy to ensure that it goes through," Minister Senaratne told a UNP-D group news conference.

LTTE will be wiped out - PM

LTTE terrorists reeling under successive defeats suffered at the hands of Security Forces are now restricted to two areas in the north only. The humanitarian operation launched by the Government to liberate the Northern people from the clutches of terrorists will be continued until the terrorists are totally wiped out from their remaining pockets, said Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake.
