The SLT dome at EDEX 2008

Enter the stall and discover the doorway to the future! No, this is not a simple matter of having your fortune told... this is the vibrant, technical kaleidoscopic world of the digital lifestyle of tomorrow.

The stall is set up by Sri Lanka Telecom at EDEX 2008, a comprehensive National Higher Education and Careers exhibition held at the BMICH from January 18 to 20 and at the Queens Hotel, Kandy on January 22 and 23.

Visitors to the dome are thrown into the future rages of technology which consists of several main sections which enables them to unleash the hidden creativity in them, communicate easily with their loved ones and chill out listening to their favourite tunes or watching the video of their choice.

It's your wish and it's there within your grasp. All the features within this dome are placed on the Sri Lanka Telecom EDEX blog http:\\edex2008slt.blogspot.com.

To one side you have NetShare, a space enabling you to take photographs from a digital camera or film short videos , transfer them to a computer, edit them and place them on the blog.

Her whole life was dark. She was unconscious for 20 years and looking for an identity. Rahal is a guy among the crowd for whom Madu is searching for. Though he was introduced as a mad man, he could recognise Madu as his mother. It is true that Rahal is suffering from a mental illness but Madu had got a son.

Madu was a special conjunction in Dr. Diyanath's life. His only ambition was to recover Madu's memory. Any parent does not like to send their child to the North.

Prathibha's parents face a similar situation as Prathibha gets her first appointment as a doctor. She soon finds herself in Dr. Diyanath's Private Hospital. There she meets the unconscious woman at the hospital. An emotional relationship is built between Madu and Prathibha.

One day Dr. Diyanath decided to put one of Madu's photographs in a weekend paper. Madu is Vishva's first wife. When Nirudha, Vishva's second wife hears that Madu is alive, she is in shock.

Nirudha cannot bear to see Madu's and Vishva's connection again. How will she stop them meeting?

This is the life voyage of an innocent lady - Pathini

Rupavahini unveils 'Nethra tv'

The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation officially launched their new Tamil National Television channel Nethra TV last week. Programmes based on cultural and traditional values are included in the agenda with a new dimension. Programmes catering to the young and old are included in the line up.

'Nethra's Morning telecast' (A classical music event with the participation of outstanding Sri Lankan and Indian artistes), 'From the newspapers today' (A focus on the newspapers-all three languages), 'Udaya Dharisanam' (Programme related to medicine, handicraft, cookery, beauty culture, childcare and education), 'Comedy time' (Consisting of comic scenes taken from Tamil films), 'Documentry' (Providing valuable information from around the world), 'Children's cartoon' (The adventures of Hathim, the great warrior), Midday movie (Box office hits), 'Madura Ganam' (A music competition in search of youth talent), 'M.9.30.' (A multi language musical choice) and 'Coffee with Anu' (A programme based on interesting discussions conducted by prominent personalities in diverse fields) are some of the key programmes that Nethra TV has in store for its viewers.
