SriLankan Mihin backed by RPC Global
SriLankan Holidays launched a special promotion to India under the
theme “Celebrating Being Good Neighbours a 100 times a week” and offered
cash back to the 100th traveller on this promotion. RPC Global Travels
issued the ticket for the winner of the First 100th passenger.
Franklyn Mendis, Managing Director of RPC Global Travels said that
they are glad to be associated with SriLankan Holidays and to promote
their offers to their clientele. They have future plans to work more
closely with SriLankan Holidays through its alliance with the Arpico
Privilege Card which has a membership of over 50,000.

RPC Global Travels being the exclusive travel related services
partner for the Arpico Privilege Card, has the potential to approach a
wider spectrum of customers for SriLankan Holidays, through which
network they plan to offer special promotions in the coming festive
season.
Mendis mentioned that they had already launched a special promotion
jointly with Mihin Lanka through the same channel, Arpico Privilege
Card.
This promotion is valid from December 15, 2007 to January 31, 2008,
and all Arpico Privilege Card Members who earn cumulative points of 100
during this period are entitled for a raffle draw.
To earn these points, one could either purchase goods at Arpico or
purchase Mihin Lanka air tickets through RPC Global Travels (1 point =
Rs 100/-) during this period, and he automatically entitled for the
grand draw.

Siam House opens at BIA
Siam House has been serving up delectable, authentic Thai cuisine in
Colombo for over 15 years. This flavour is now also available at the
departure lounge of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
The new branch of Siam House has a seating capacity of over 100, and
is open round the clock. Siam House at BIA is now open for the
discerning traveller wishing to dine before boarding, with guests. Both
on the go ‘light’ meals and a full a la carte menu is on offer at
competitive prices with subsidised meals for airport staff.
Thai Ambassador in Sri Lanka Thinakorn Kanasuta, Head of Commercial
and Properties of Airport and Aviation Services Geeth Karunaratne and
Weerawat Swasdibutra, the General Manager of Thai Airways for Sri Lanka
and the Republic of Maldives was present at the opening.
The name Siam House is popular among diners for authentic Thai
cuisine, this new branch will also be serving Sri Lankan and
International cuisine to meet the needs of today’s traveller. Managing
Director Lionel Fernando believes that quality and consistency is vital
in this industry.
According to him, “For each respective menu, an experienced chef will
be on hand. Chefs from Thailand will work alongside chefs from Sri
Lanka, all of whom are qualified and have many years of industry
experience.”
Fernando also pointed out that although eating is a necessity, “to
eat intelligently is an art.” Siam House has been able to capture this
art of cuisine and presentation through its’ use of authentic
ingredients, cooking methods and by creating the perfect dining
atmosphere. |
