HSBC partners Colombo Fashion Week

The HSBC Colombo Fashion Week will be held from January 27 to 29 at the Taj Samudra Hotel.

This event, to be held for the third successive year, will build a common platform for designers in Sri Lanka and India to showcase their latest collections, bringing together the apparel industry, buyers and designers from across the region.

Chief Executive Officer for HSBC Sri Lanka and the Maldives David J. H. Griffths said, “At HSBC, we pride ourselves in having a vision that includes, not just banking, but also the development of the country and its communities in which we operate.

We believe this event will significantly improve the strategic fit between the Sri Lankan Fashion Design Industry and the Apparel Industry.

Chairman of The Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) Ajith Dias, said, “An event of this nature is an excellent opportunity for the Sri Lankan Apparel Industry, to showcase the design capability of Sri Lankan apparel designers.”

He also emphasised the importance of having this as an annual event that can make it to the regional fashion events calendar.
