serenity of village life that has been captured but important records of
places of historical importance of our bequeathed heritage make the
volume precious to the more advanced reader.

to help the renovation of Neelagiri Seya and to help the poverty
stricken villagers and their offsprings.
The author Ranjani Senanayake is an experienced senior teacher
presently serving in Ananda College, Colombo. She has started her career
as a teacher in 1971 and has continued to teach in many schools
including Devi Balika Vidyalya, Colombo.
