Congrats Murali !

Tharunyata Hetak Organisation President Namal Rajapaksa in a congratulatory message sent to Muttiah Muralitharan on his record breaking Test wicket haul states his feat was doubly significant because it was achieved by overcoming many obstacles and indignities in life.

It further says that Murali who had his Test debut in 1992 had to face many threats and controversies during his cricketing life. The international conspiracy which started with Darrel Hair's no bowling incident extended up to Bishen Bedi's remarks but Murali faced up to them with courage like a true son of Sri Lanka.

The Tharunyata Hetak Organisation while wishing still greater achievements for Murali would dedicate itself to protect and uphold the dignity of the Motherland.
