NCP Chief Minister visits Abimanagama bomb victims

NCP Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake visited the Anuradhapura Hospital on Wednesday night and made arrangements to provide speedy attention to the people injured in the Abhimanagama LTTE claymore mine explosion.

Fifteen persons were killed and 23 others injured in the dastardly attack. Sixteen of the injured are receiving treatment at the Anuradhapura Hospital while six others are warded at the Kebithigollewa Hospital.

The Chief Minister said compensation payments would be made to the families of the dead in addition to assistance towards funeral expenses.

Bodies of the dead are lying at the Kebithigollewa Hospital morgue.
