ISO Secretary General to visit Lanka

International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) Secretary General Alan Bryden is due to visit Sri Lanka as part of a tour of Asian member countries of the ISO.

This is the first ever visit to Sri Lanka by an ISO Secretary General. The ISO is a network of the National Standards Institutes of 157 countries with representation on the basis of one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland where ISO had its genesis in 1947.

Bryden will address a workshop organised by UNIDO in collaboration with ISO and SLSI on 'Good Standardisation and Conformity Assessment Practice - A Regional Dimension'.
