Market recovers

The market reflected signs of a slight recovery after three days of consecutive down turn.

Both indices ended in the green.

The ASPI appreciated by 18.34 points or 0.73 per cent while MP1 strengthened 20.49 points or 0.62 per cent to finish at 3332.79.

The turn over for the day touched Rs. 358.52 mn. Dockyard dominated activity both volume and turnover wise with 2.1 mn shares changing hands, within a price range of Rs. 51.50 - 53.50 and contributing Rs. 110 mn to turnover.

Two crossings on the counter were witnessed at a flat rate of Rs. 52. One parcel was 0.5 mn shares and the other was 0.22 mn shares.

Dialog also saw interest today with 1.06 mn shares being traded resulting in a turnover of Rs. 22.2 mn while diversified Spence also contributed Rs. 22 mn to turn over.

Foreigners were slightly heavier on the selling side bringing the net outflow for the day to Rs. 3.9 mn.
