Cycle tour to mark President's second anniversary
The Department of Sports Development along with Carlton Sports Club
Tangalla has organized a standard cycle race to mark the second
anniversary of the President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Presidency.
The which is an Open all standard cyclists is to be run in three
stages beginning on 16 November from Colombo to Embilipitiya, on 17 the
riders leave Embilipitiya for Tangalla and the riders will commence the
final stretch from Dickwell to Colombo on November 17 to finish opposite
Temple Trees.
The start too will be from Temple Trees on Nov. 16. The event is to
be conducted by Sri Lanka Cycling Federattion.
The entries close with Director General Ports Development Department,
No. 33, Torrington Square, Colombo,7 on November 14.
The winner will be awarded a trophy and and a cash prize worth Rs.
100,000, while the two runners up are to receive Rs. 75,000 and 50,000
respectively. Riders who are placed from fourth to twentieth will get of
