Fags land traders in a soup

Excise officials rounded up 416 traders in Kandy found guilty of
selling cigarettes to those below 21 years during raids upto October
end.
The arrests were made in terms of the Tobacco and Alcohol National
Authority Act No. 28 of 2006, said OIC Kandy Excise Office Mahendra
Jayasinghe. The biggest number of 84 traders were detected in February
this year. |
