Suzuki Maruti goes to Kandy

AMW opens sixth showroom:

Associated Mot- orways Ltd (AMW) the undisputed leader in the automobile industry in Sri Lanka today, will open their sixth Suzuki Maruti showroom in the hill capital Kandy in execution of a proposed plan to expand their network of showrooms to cover all major towns in the country.

A world heritage site of great historical and religious significance, Kandy is also a busy commercial city, with many successful business ventures and it is only natural that its citizens will look forward with enthusiasm to the opening of this showroom and sales outlet, which will facilitate their needs, on deciding to purchase a brand new car.

A motor car was a luxury and merely a dream for many before AMW introduced the Suzuki Maruti range of cars to Sri Lanka over 15 years ago. With the advent of the Suzuki Maruti and the joint facilities afforded by financial institutions comfort and affordability has been combined with a reliable brand.

The new showroom situated at Katugastota will be declared open on 7th November by Tilak de Zoysa Managing Director of Associated Motorways Ltd., at a ceremony for special invitees. The branch opening will be celebrated with a month long special introductory offer which carry discounts.

Suzuki Maruti is produced exclusively in India using Japanese technology and is a popular car not only in India but in most parts of Asia with a considerable market presence in Europe.

The showroom will focus mainly on Suzuki Maruti M800, Alto Lxi and Wagon R. The Swift, SX 4 and Grand Vitara too will be made available to those with a taste for the luxury range.

All Suzuki Maruti vehicles on display in this showroom have been imported direct from the factories in India and the Suzuki range comes direct from the manufacturing plants in Japan.

“Suzuki Maruti’s popularity is attributed to its high fuel efficiency, low maintenance costs and good resale market.

Also the ability to withstand the roads in Sri Lanka coupled with the good after sales service provided by our long standing dedicated staff is what makes the Suzuki Maruti range of vehicles the preferred choice of motorists in Sri Lanka.”

Opined Viraan de Zoysa Marketing Manager Associated Motorways Ltd. He went on to add “We will be making our presence in Ampara, Chilaw and Badulla in the coming months”.

Hyundai Santa Fe earns Top award

The 2007, Santa Fe, a midsize SUV, meets all of the rigorous criteria to earn the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s TOP SAFETY PICK designation.

Equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), the Santa Fe earned the Institute’s highest rating of ‘good’ for front, side, and rear crash protection. With the addition of the Santa Fe, 21 cars, SUVs and minivans earn TOP SAFETY PICK status.

“The performance of the Santa Fe demonstrate Hyundai’s commitment to providing the highest level of safety to its customers,” says Institute President Adrian Lund.

“Criteria to win the award are tough because they’re intended to drive continued safety improvements such as high crash test ratings and rapid addition of ESC,” says Lund. The Santa Fe is equipped with standard side airbags designed to protect the heads of people in all three rows of seats and standard ESC.

The Institute is recognizing vehicles with this award to help consumers distinguish the best overall choices without having to sort through multiple crash test results. Redesign improves rear impact performance.
