Promotions for nine retired Service Chiefs

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has promoted nine senior retired Service Commanders to Four Star Ranks.

Lt. Generals Dennise Perera and Nalin Seneviratne from the Army are to be Generals, Rear Admiral Basil Gunasekara and Alfred Perera from the Navy to be Admirals and Air Vice Marshal Padi Mendis, Harry Gunatilake, Dick Perera, Air Marshal Oliver Ranasinghe and Air Marshal Jayalath Weerakkody are to be Air Chief Marshals.
