Royal-Trinity clash for Corea Cup

Royal will host Trinity who travel down to Colombo for their annual Hockey fixture, the 4th in the series to be played on Astro Turf, Reid Avenue at 4.30 p.m. on November 2 for the J.C.A. Corea Cup.

Although Trinity lead the series so far having won the Cup since the inaugural match three years ago, this year the match is evenly poised as host team will go flat out to win this coveted Trophy. Royal may have the edge as they emerged the National School Champions this year and having won three other trophy games so far. They beat Wesley 9-0, Kingswood 6-1 and St. Thomas, Mount Lavinia 4-0.

Royal boast of a well knit team having played superlative and cohesive hockey throughout the season which has given them an edge over their opponents.

Trinity one of the strongest teams in the Hill Country won the Singer Blues and Gold Hockey Sevens will certainly go flat out to retain the Corea Cup for the fourth successive year. A thrilling game of hockey is on the cards and the teams are as follows:
