Shirley WIJESINGHE
The doors are open to enter the Government service for qualified
youth without any political interference, said Public Administration and
Home Affairs Minister Karu Jayasuriya.
More than 2,000 Government servants have been trained under projects
implemented to create an efficient public service to provide a better
public service for the citizens, Minister Jayasuriya said.
The Minister was speaking at a ceremony held at Hotel Galadari
recently for awarding certificates to participants of training projects
conducted by the Government.
Jayasuriya said his Ministry has signed an agrement with the
Bahadur-Shasthri Institute of India to fulfil the training requirements
of Information Technology in the public sector.
Obtaining computer knowledge is a must for all new recruits to the
Government service in future.
“A revolutionary change can be seen in the Government service now. No
difference can be noticed between both public and private sector
employees in the country today,” he stressed. |
