Richardson Projects, importers and distributors of electrical
equipment, recently won the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System
Standard. Richardson Projects is the only company in Sri Lanka, to have
received an ISO certification that qualifies a wide sphere in electrical
solutions, specifically in the area of lightening protection.
The accolade was awarded in recognition of providing electrical
solutions through supply of high, medium and low voltage electrical
switch gear and lighting systems and design, fabrication, supply,
installation and commissioning of low voltage electrical switchgear
equipment and lightening protection systems.
Director of Richardson Projects, Kishaan Kanag-Isvaran said that the
company strived for three years to win the standard award. He added that
the company maintains a 50 per cent annual growth rate.
Since its inception in 2000, the Richardson Projects has undertaken
numerous projects in lightening protection, panel assembly, capacitor
bank assembly and technical support provision for Government and private
sector institutions including mobile telephone service providers, TV and
radio stations and building projects of every scale.
With its employee base of over 100, and an island wide dealer network
in 700 locations, Richardson Projects represents international
manufacturers of electrical equipment, primarily for infrastructural
electrical projects.
Principals such as Trench GmbH - Germany, INAEL- Spain, IMEFY -
Spain, Sediver - France, Nortroll - Norway and Jyothi- India supplies
key components to many substations and transmission projects in Sri
Lanka.
Richardson Projects also operates in partnership with such overseas
electrical equipment companies as Moeller - Germany, Furse - UK and a
host of other foreign suppliers in the industry. |
