India, Pakistan renew anti-terror push
Indian and Pakistani officials Monday exchanged intelligence on the
latest terrorist incidents to hit the countries and discussed
anti-terror measures, the foreign ministry said.
The South Asian neighbours met under a peace process that in March
saw them agree to share information on cross-border militant violence.
“Both sides shared new information on terrorist incidents including
those which have occurred since the last meeting,” Indian foreign
ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna told reporters.
“They agreed to continue to work to identify measures, exchange
specific information and assist in investigations,” Sarna said.
New Delhi and Islamabad launched a peace process in 2004 to improve
ties, but the dialogue has made little headway.
