Roshini Sangani takes Bronze Cup:

The annual Ladies Golf Championship of the Royal Colombo Golf Club
for the year 2007 and the Bronze Cup competition for Ladies was held
concurrently from Monday, October 15 to Friday, October 19 at the RCGC.
The main contenders for the club championship were Jackie Dias,
Dilini de Zoysa, H.K. Kim and Suwen Selvaratnam, out of a card of 10
players. Whilst in the Bronze Cup competition there were 15 players with
the frontliners being Roshini Sangani, Manori Jayakody, Sumi
Nirmalalingam and E.S. Lee.
In the club championship the reputed Jackie Dias, Dilini de Zoysa,
H.K. Kim and Suwen Selvaratnam got past the preliminary quarter-final
stage and in the semifinals Jackie Dias had the better of Dilini de
Zoysa whilst Suwen Selvaratnam beat H.K. Kim.
In the hard fought final between the two seasoned campaigners, Jackie
Dias, pulled it off beating Suwen Selvaratnam, to be the 2007 Royal
Colombo Golf Club champion.In the Bronze Cup tournament, Manori Jayakody
who won her quarter-final match, went down to Roshini Sangani in the
semifinal while E.S. Lee who emerged from the quarter-finals lost to
Sumi Nirmalalingam in the semifinals.
In the finals Roshini had the better of Nirmalalingam to win the Cup.
