Awards ceremony

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha will be the Chief Guest at the awards ceremony of the Islandwide essay competition conducted by the Legal Aid Commission (LAC) at the Central Bank Auditorium, Rajagiriya on November 16, at 2 p.m. The Sri Lanka Telecom sponsors this year’s competition.

The competition is jointly organised by the LAC and the Education Ministry in Sinhala, Tamil and English mediums on the theme of Law and eradication of harmful drugs to promote the close link between the rule of law and equitable social and economic development.

The winners will receive attractive cash prizes and valuable books published by the Legal Aid Commission.
