Polonnaruwa Mobile Secretariat today

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will launch their first ever Mobile Service Secretariat in Polonnaruwa today under the patronage of Minister Rohitha Bogollagama, with the intention of providing much needed exposure to the rural folk in related issues.

The Minister speaking to the media yesterday noted that, with the mobile service the Ministry would be able to enhance the relationship with rural public, by bringing the services of the Ministry to their door steps.

The Mobile Secretariat is to provide a wide range of services with Government arms such as Foreign Employment Ministry, Immigration and Emigration Dept., Education Ministry and the consular division of Foreign Affairs lending a helping hand.

The Mobile Secretariat will be held a monthly in other districts too including Ampara, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Matara and Hambantota.
