Singer strengthens SLT pre-paid services distribution

Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has tied up with Singer Sri Lanka, the number one retailer in the country, to expand its sales distribution channel for its pre-paid products with the inclusion of the provision of domestic voice, international voice and Internet services.

SLT's pre-paid products include SLT Passport domestic and international calling cards, SLT Maxtalk international calling card powered by SLT superior VoIP technology and SLTnet Internet Pre-paid cards.

Speaking on the agreement, CEO of Singer Sri Lanka Hemaka Amarasuriya, said: "We see the SLT Pre-paid card as an additional product for our wide consumer base, which has been loyal to the company.

As a result of this, SLT will be in a position to improve the presence of SLT Pre-paid cards island-wide, along with an additional source of revenue for us. Thus we welcome the opportunity to be able to provide further convenience to our consumers."

With this initiative, SLT will be able to offer pre-paid products to its customers via 480 branches island-wide, along with franchising units of Singer Sri Lanka, in addition to SLT Teleshop, SLT Regional Offices island-wide, authorised dealers and super market chains.

The magnitude of the solution comprises of an islandwide geographical spread. CEO of SLT Shoji Takahashi, said: "We are very proud to strengthen our partnership with Singer Sri Lanka.

This is a company that has a wide retail network, which is very attractive to us and is aware of their customer's mindsets. Through this partnership, we would also like to understand the customer. We look forward to expanding our solution to the company in future."

The business partnership between SLT and Singer Sri Lanka will provide convenience to customers through the expansion of sales outlet through authorised dealers as well as having communication products and household goods under one roof.
