Bens to felicitate Lionel

Former All Ceylon and Benedictine cricketer Lionel Fernando who has migrated to Australia is here on a holiday.

The former Benedictine legend who still holds a unique record of scoring 204 not out and claiming all ten wickets in an innings including a hat-trick in 1959 against the combined sister colleges (The then big match of the school) will be felicitated by the Bens at the Old Bens' Sports Club on Friday October 19, 2007 at a function commencing at 7.00 p.m.
