CEYLINCO Insurance PLC notched up yet another achievement for its incredible accolade portfolio, when it was recently assigned an AA- rating by Brand Finance plc, the world’s leading, independent intangible asset valuation and brand strategy firm.

Ceylinco Insurance has invented and re-invented products to suit the diverse needs of its customers. With its customer requirements held in the forefront, Ceylinco Insurance has provided compassionate solutions and very real value additions. Moreover, Ceylinco Insurance now, also becomes the highest rated amongst the financial sector companies.

Brand Finance plc, founded in London in 1996, and which is now the world’s leading independent brand valuation and value-based marketing consultancy, operates in Sri Lanka as Brand Finance Lanka, and accordingly, rated several other business organisations at the ceremony, all of which were listed among the ‘50 Most Valuable Sri Lankan Brands’.

The goal of Brand Finance’s annual brand value league table is to provide an overview of how brand value can effectively translate to superior business value, while the brand ratings are similar in concept to credit ratings assigned to companies, which signify the health of the brand.

The Brand Rating also delivers insights into the underlying strength of each brand and illustrates how valuations require a robust analysis of a brand’s performance, in order to accurately determine its value.

The rating’s in-depth analysis concluded that the top ‘most valuable brands’ are those that posses a clear strategic focus in their markets, supported by strong operational capabilities; thereby, building their brand power, leveraging it to deliver superior value to stake-holders.

A spokesman for Ceylinco Insurance indicated that his organisation was delighted with the Brand Rating, which he said, further elaborated to the Sri Lankan public the strength and reliability of Ceylinco.

He added that the AA- rating was also further proof of the stability of the company, and went on to say that it was Ceylinco’s dream to ensure that every Sri Lankan, regardless of nationality, caste, creed or social standing, was able to enjoy the security of insurance.

He added further that Ceylinco Insurance would continue to innovate, providing more and more people-friendly, affordable insurance solutions in the future, truly becoming a company for the people.
