Over to you Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs
I wish to disclose my concern in brief regarding the following two
subjects which are overdue.
My husband has represented me at your Ministry on 23.05.2007 (Public
Relations Day) and handed over copies of the relevant documents to one
of your Ministry officials who was assigned for the public relation
works pertaining to the Combined Services personnel, as you were not
available for interviews on this day. (No. 1 - My appeal bearing
Register No. 4271, dated 10.12.2006 addressed to the Civil
Administration Officer, Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters, Colombo 2 with
a copy to the Assistant Director of Combined Services, Ministry of
Public Administration, Colombo 7, bearing Register No. 4270 regarding
Class I promotions of typists’ service. No. 2 - Sri Lanka Air Force
Headquarters, Civil Administration officer’s letter addressed to the
Commissioner of Inland Revenue, Colombo 2 dated 12.02.2007 bearing
reference No. SLAF/802/3583/PC regarding W&OP status with a copy to the
undersigned) for which, no reply even after lapse of a period of 8
months and a period of 6 months respectively.
Husband’s name - W. H. P. Fernando, ID No. 481070716 V, Public
Relations Day - 23.05.2007. Assigned Computer Reference No. 31202.
Subject - I
I have initiated this course since 2005. After having completed a
period of three years in my last assignment i.e. Sri Lanka Air Force
Headquarters, Colombo 2, and subsequently got my retirement on
01.01.1991.
Also, I am having with the required eligibility as well as seniority
for Class I promotions.
Further, I do hereby presume through your intervention, my appeal
would be reconsidered favourably as per my letter under reference. All
my details are available in Class I branch of your Ministry.
Subject - II
I have initiated this W.&O.P. status after having declared my option
as per Public Administration Circular 231 of 1993 and 291 of 1995 since
2005 through my last assignment i.e. Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters,
Colombo 2.
My 2nd assignment i.e. Department of Inland Revenue, Colombo 2 has so
far failed to furnish to the Civil Administration officer of Sri Lanka
Air Force, Colombo 2, the required total amount of instalments for the
period 1983 to 1987 which has to be recovered from my pension in order
to implement the W.&O.P. status.
By now, a period of three months has already lapsed since my handing
over the said documents to your Ministry official on the said Public
Relations Day, but not even an acknowledgement up to now.
I do hereby hope through your intervention that these two subjects
will be settled in near future.
