Dilan does it again

KIND GESTURE: President of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation and Minister for Justice and Legal Reforms Dilan Perera has pulled out of the delegation that was to leave for Indonesia to attend the Asian Volleyball delegates meeting. He was to go along with the National team which is billed to compete at the Asian Championships.

The Federation needed more funds to accommodate all team members for this tour. If I am. to make this trip I have to use double the amount of money that is used for a player.

I thought it is better for me to pull out and give the opportunity to use the money for two players which will serve the sport as well as the players. So I thought it is fitting to skip this trip for the sake of the sport at large.

Dilan Perera as President of the governing body has set a good example not only to his officials but for all officials involved in sports bodies. Earlier too he set an example by punishing wrong doers no sooner it was revealed.

His position as a delegate will be filled by Vice President SLVBF Rohan Somawansa.
