EPSI Computers, in partnership with APPLE Inc, opened “EPSI iStore in
Colombo 4 recently. EPSI has been designated on authorised re-seller for
APPLE products in Sri Lanka.
The company has introduced this state-of-the-art iStore to provide a
variety of services to digital enthusiasts in Sri Lanka.

Group Product Manager, Epsi Computer Ltd, Rukshan Jayawardena told
‘Daily News Business’ that they hope to open more outlets soon. “We plan
to display our products in places such as Odel, Crestcat and also out of
the Colombo. When we set up our branches out of Colombo our customers
need not have to come to Colombo.
“We are planning to hold various training programs, to improve their
knowledge about APPLE products”.
At this store, a wide range of APPLE products will be on display and
as a value added service EPSI provides hands on experience to the user,
thus enabling a user to experience the products first hand, prior to
making a decision to purchase.
The products on display will range from iPod MP3 players to MAC
Books, iMacs, APPLE TV and a wide variety of iPods and APPLE related
accessories, demonstrating state-of-the-art cutting edge technologies.
The store will not only showcase a wide range of APPLE products, but
also provide a number of service facilities to customers purchasing
APPLE products from this store.
One of the main services provided through this store would be that
APPLE customers will have the opportunity to handover faulty APPLE
products and obtain a replacement, on par with the applicable terms and
conditions.
Sony Ericsson P1 launched by Mobitel at NEGC 2007
Sony Ericsson, the manufacturer that pioneered the development of
smart phones unveiled the P1 as the latest addition to its P - series
range. This is the most feature rich yet pocket sized smart phone, a
complete mobile office with true multimedia features.
The P1 is a device as small as a standard phone, offering flexible
ways to work. Its features include: dual function keyboard - full
alpha-numeric (e.g. QWERTY) text input combines with one hand phone
usability, choice of text input method using handwriting and word
completion, push email enabled including support for Exchange ActiveSync
and Blackberry Connect, integrated WLAN and VoIP enabled, 3.2 Mega Pixel
camera with business card scanner, large 2.6 touch screen with a
transflective display that is easier to view in bright light conditions.

According to the Head of Product Marketing at Sony Ericsson, Steve
Walker, the Sony Ericsson P1 is an evolution of the Sony Ericsson
P-series, as it pushes forward the best attributes of its predecessors.
At the same time, there are significant improvements in designs,
speed and battery performance.
Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications serves as the global
communications market with innovative and feature rich mobile phones,
accessories and PC-cards. Established as a joint venture by Sony and
Ericsson in 2001, with global corporate functions located in London, the
company employs over 7500 people worldwide.
